Helping elves in the Christmas rush: MediaMarktSaturn focuses on the perfect gifts, services, and advice in its campaign

In its new international Christmas campaign, MediaMarktSaturn reinterprets the Christmas hit "Driving Home for Christmas" and highlights how the retail company ensures a stress-free Christmas season.

Ingolstadt, 24 November 2025

Stress in the run-up to Christmas is a thing of the past. MediaMarktSaturn takes the pressure out of Advent and ensures that customers can concentrate on what matters most – spending time with family and friends. This is precisely the message at the heart of the consumer electronics retailer's Christmas campaign.

The campaign highlights various situations in which MediaMarktSaturn becomes a helpful elf. No matter what technical challenge needs to be overcome, MediaMarktSaturn solves the problem and makes the holidays more relaxed. With its diverse range of products and services, the retailer puts customers at the center and brings Experience Electronics to life. Brand ambassador Jürgen Klopp is part of the commercial, bringing a smile to the faces of the MediaMarktSaturn team and the Christmas decorations with a humorous ending.

"We know how challenging the Christmas season can be. That's why we do everything we can to ensure our customers have a more relaxed and carefree holiday. With our new campaign, we are once again showing how our services and offers bring back the spirit of Christmas," says Michael Schuld, CMO of MediaMarktSaturn.

The new commercial deliberately follows on from the successful "Driving Home to Fix this" campaign, with which MediaMarktSaturn reinterpreted the Christmas classic "Driving Home for Christmas" back in 2023. "Driving Home to Fix this" won several awards, including the Bronze Effie Germany in the "Brand Image" category.

"In our 2023 campaign, we highlighted the daily technical problems and stress surrounding Christmas. This year, we are deliberately focusing on our team, which has the solution to every problem. Technology is becoming increasingly complex, and so is support. MediaMarktSaturn provides the answer. This is how we continue the story," explains Michael Schuld.

The campaign is running (with the exception of Türkiye) in all countries where the consumer electronics retailer is active. In Germany, the campaign will be shown from December 3 to 24 on TV, in cinemas, online, and at the point of sale, among others. Special attention is being paid to service vouchers in the marketing communication: in cooperation with Deutsche Technikberatung, technical assistance is being offered as a gift in three different models (1x by phone or video chat, 1x home visit, 1 year of technical assistance by phone or video chat).

Saatchi & Saatchi (creation), Markenfilm (production), and German Wahnsinn (music) were involved in the realization. Joseph Kahn directed. The media budget is with Publicis Media.
